Created by perfumer **Hamid Merati-Kashani**. The smokiness builds in the drydown — closer to incense sticks than campfire — over a clean, woody oud with a rosy geranium warmth running through it.
**Layering tip:** Kayali is built around layering. This pairs especially well with sweet gourmands and soft florals, which soften the oud and bring out its warmer side.
**Note:** The geranium is prominent and reads rose-like on many people. Worth knowing if you're expecting a pure, traditional oud — this is a modern, refined interpretation rather than a heavy Middle Eastern oud.
